Book Gemini1820 from Charleston, South Carolina for your next
private party, wedding, club or event.
Gemini was first formed as a duo in Charleston, SC by guitarist,
singer T. Greene and bassist Aquila in April 2004. The musicians were introduced
to each other by a mutual friend. After learning they shared similar interests
in a wide variety of music and performed well together, they started Gemini1820.
While most bands play only one genre of music, Gemini1820 plays Alternative
Rock, Reggae and R&B covers. The band plays whatever type of music the occasion
calls for. They can play one genre or a mixture of the genres. They have performed
at various weddings, parties, music venues and festivals in South Carolina.
Gemini1820 is also known for performing in the annual Charleston, SC Carribean
Festival 2005-2008. They perform as a trio with a drummer or duo with a drum
machine. It is often said that Gemini1820 has a surprisingly big sound for a
three piece band.
T. , from Charleston, has been a guitarist and singer
with various bands in Charleston during which she has performed in clubs, venues
and festivals throughout the Southeastern US. She enjoys playing and listening
to all types of music including Jazz, Classical, Rock, Reggae and R&B. Although
she also enjoys playing keyboards, acoustic guitar and bass guitar, electric
guitar is her favorite. Its amazing to see and hear her play.
Aquila, a fellow Orthodox brother to Bob Marley, is from St.
Thomas and has similar musical interests and brings an "Island Vibe"
to the band. The bassist has performed in several different Reggae bands throughout
the Carribean and also Reggae, R&B and Gospel bands in Charleston. He plays
a major role in creatively writing the band's original compositions.
Timothy "Wine" Campbell has played drums for over
thirty years with a number of bands throughout the years. He currently plays
with "Equal Rights", a reggae band known in and around Charleston,
SC for years. No rhythm eludes this talented man. It's a privilege to hear and
watch him play. When he is asked what type of music he likes playing he says
"anything". With that answer Gemini knew it had a drummer that would
fit the band like a hand in a glove.
Because Gemini plays a variety of music, it is truly a band
for music lovers and is definitely worth checking out.
